There’s plenty of great TV right now (including the recent finales of Hacks, The Last of Us, and The Studio), but my favorite thing to watch currently is Zoe Saldaña squeal in joyous surprise in her new T-Mobile ad. I laugh in delight every time. Who knew I’d ever be glad I haven’t sprung for the ad-free version of Paramount+? It takes longer to watch Drag Race‘s Tournament of All Stars, but it’s so worth it. — Patrick Gomez, Editor-in-Chief

“Dept. Q”
Jamie Simpson/Netflix
Cranky detective Carl Morck (Matthew Goode), back at work after a traumatic shooting, is tasked with heading up a new cold case department. Sounds like standard crime-drama stuff. But reader, I was not ready for the chilling twist in the premiere. Adapted from the Danish novels by Scott Frank (The Queen’s Gambit), the Netflix series is a gripping yarn about the yoke of guilt and the unwavering patience of redemption. Goode and costar Alexej Manvelov, as Morck’s quietly formidable partner Akram, deserve to leapfrog into the Emmy race with their impeccable performances. —Kristen Baldwin, TV Critic

“And Just Like That”
Craig Blankenhorn/Max
Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), Charlotte (Kristin Davis), and Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) are back for season 3 of the HBO Max SATC sequel series. While we had to say goodbye to Carrie’s iconic apartment (and former stars Sara Ramirez and Karen Pittman), say hello to Rosie O’Donnell’s hilarious Mary, Aidan’s return, and more. —Yolanda Machado, Staff Editor
“The 13th Wife: Escaping Polygamy”
Lifetime
“People think I’m a monster for what I’ve done,” Felicity Huffman gravely announces in this new Lifetime movie ripped from the headlines surrounding the shocking story of former Mormon fundamentalist and accused murderer Rena Chynoweth. —Ryan Coleman, News Writer
