*Nelly and Ashanti will take their married life to the next level with a new reality show.
Complex reports the eight-episode series, titled “Nelly & Ashanti: We Belong Together,” will premiere in June on Peacock.
A press release for the show reveals it will center around the “electrifying journey of Nelly and Ashanti “as they reignite their love, navigate the ups and downs of newlywed life, and the challenges of parenthood while juggling their thriving careers.”
“Can this unstoppable duo prove that their love truly can conquer all?” the release added, while describing ““Nelly & Ashanti: We Belong Together” as “a fun-filled exploration of love’s second chances.”
News of the upcoming reality series comes more than 20 years after Nelly and Ashanti started dating after meeting at the Grammy Awards in 2003.
Despite splitting in 2013, seeds were reportedly planted for the couple to reunite when they appeared at the Ja Rule and Fat Joe Verzuz battle in 2021. In September 2023, Ashanti and Nelly made their reunion official with confirmation they were back together.
The re-established romance resulted in their engagement and a baby on the way which was announced in April 2024. Nelly and Ashanti had already been legally married for several months by that point, according to Complex.
On July 18, 2024, the couple welcomed the birth of their son, Kareem Kenkaide Hayes.
Nelly and Ashanti are bringing their love story to reality TV with Nelly & Ashanti: We Belong Together, premiering this June on Peacock. The eight-episode series will follow their journey as newlyweds, parents, and performers balancing fame and family.
From their 2003 romance to their 2024 wedding and the birth of their son Kareem, fans will get an inside look at love’s second chance.
