Diddy’s Mother, Janice Combs, Faces Fraud Allegations from Former Bad Boy Executive

*Janice Combs, mother of music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, has been accused of fraud in a lawsuit filed by Kirk Burrowes, a former executive at Bad Boy Entertainment.

Burrowes, who played a key role in founding the label, claims that he was forced to relinquish his 25% stake in the company under threats of violence, Daily Mail reports. The BBE ex-president alleges that Diddy and the label’s lawyer confronted him in his office, with Diddy wielding a baseball bat. Although Janice was not physically present during the incident, Burrowes contends that she was aware of it and even played a role in orchestrating it.

The 55-year-old music mogul allegedly transferred the shares to his mother after the incident. Burrowes is now suing Janice, the label’s majority stakeholder, claiming she was involved in a “decades-long scheme of intimidation, violence, fraudulent misrepresentation, and financial concealment.”

Since losing his position at Bad Boy, Burrowes says he has been blackballed from the industry.

“They blacklisted him from the music industry, blocked business opportunities, and destroyed his professional reputation, ensuring he would remain financially destitute and unable to reclaim what was rightfully his,” the lawsuit states.

“By words and actions, Sean Combs and Kenneth Meiselas frightened and intimidated and assaulted plaintiff (Burrowes) and forced him to turn over his share certificate for 25 shares of Bad Boy Entertainment to Sean Combs,” the filing reads.

Beyond his professional ties to Bad Boy Entertainment, Burrowes has a personal connection to Diddy—he is the godfather of Diddy’s first son, Justin. In his lawsuit, he also accuses Diddy of physically abusing his mother.

Burrowes is seeking restitution for his original $100,000 investment, reinstatement of his 25% ownership stake in Bad Boy Entertainment, and additional damages.
