Rockstar Games released an enhanced version of GTA V on PC this Tuesday, March 4. It includes features introduced in the PS5 and Xbox Series versions. Owners of the base game on PC can upgrade free of charge.
However, this reworked edition is plagued by technical problems. At present, it boasts mixed ratings on Steam, with 50% of positive reviews out of the almost 6,500 published.
This is due to problems with the character transfer from the old version of GTA V to this one. Rockstar had made it clear that the transfer operation could take a long time. What’s more, performance clearly doesn’t seem to be up to scratch, and the improvements are hardly noticeable.
Rockstar Games has not yet commented on these issues.
