First of all, we learn that Monster Hunter Wilds remains at the top of sales for this year 2025 on American soil. It is followed by The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion: Remastered and Assassin’s Creed Shadows on the podium. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and MLB: The Show 25 round off the top 5.
For the month of May 2025, Elden Ring Nightreign topped the sales charts in the United States. Doom: The Dark Ages is second and Forza Horizon 5 third. The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 were fourth and fifth respectively.
Also in May, hardware sales fell for the fifth consecutive month. The year-on-year drop was 13% for consoles and 6% for accessories. The PS5 ranks first in terms of dollars generated and units sold. This represents an increase of 3%. Xbox Series X|S fell by 30% year-on-year and Switch by 44% compared with May 2024.
