Monster Hunter Now’s new Driftsmelting bonanza is on its way

- Monster Hunter Now’s new Driftsmelting Bonanza event is coming soon
- Starting June 30th, the distance for Driftsmelting is slashed until the 6th
- Featured monsters will also drop the new Mysterious Driftstone H when slain!
With the recent news from the Niantic side, nearly all focusing on Pokémon Go with its upcoming stamp rally event and Go Fest 2025, fans of Monster Hunter Now will be glad to see a little attention. And it’s certainly very welcome too, as a brand-new Driftsmelting Bonanza is right around the corner!
Starting June 30th and running until July 6th, the Driftsmelting Bonanza will see the monsters Teostra, Bazelgeuse, Mizutsune, Nightshade Paolumu, Tzitzi-Ya-Ku and Great Girros making more frequent appearances. Slaying them will also automatically grant you a Mysterious Driftstone H, although at the cost of no regular Driftstone drops.
As you might expect, those Mysterious Driftstone H drops are one of the biggest points of appeal for this event. You have a chance to obtain them from any large monster, and they may grant your armour the skills Ailment Opportunist (newly added for taking advantage of status debuffs on monsters!), Status Sneak Attack and Blast Attack.
Monster Drift
Of course, there’s also the main appeal of any Driftsmelting Bonanza, which is the distance you need to walk for driftsmelting itself being slashed from 5km to a mere 1km! There’s also increased rewards from the featured monsters, while Teostra will be the sole star of Elder Dragon Interceptions for the duration.
Fortunately, if Teostra seems a bit much for you, you don’t need to slay them to get their Mysterious Driftstone H, as repelling this beastie will also provide the reward.
