Millie Bobby Brown has undergone a major blonde transformation — and fans think there’s a sneaky reason for it!
Ahead of her 21st birthday earlier this month, the Stranger Things star debuted her platinum blonde look and has continued to show it off in a series of ’90s and Y2K-inspired photos. She’s really leaning into the vibes! At first, everyone was just stunned by the hot new ‘do — but now fans think they’ve figured out why she made the change!

It’s no secret a Britney Spears biopic based on her book The Woman In Me is in the works. Universal Studios secured the rights in August, and it’s been rumored that the Enola Holmes star is in the running for the role. Remembering this, fans commented on Instagram:
“Ready to play Britney now”
“BRITNEY IS COMING”
“Oh s**t. Is she actually playing Britney?!”
“Okay Britney”
Hah!
She would pull it off. Just look!

FWIW, Millie hasn’t shied away from the rumors, either. During Monday’s premiere of her new movie The Electric State, the actress was asked if she was “slipping right into the Britney Spears” movie now that her last project wrapped. Millie didn’t give anything away — but made it clear she’d love the job! She told Access Hollywood:
“I mean, you know, she is an absolute icon. I would love nothing more than to be a part of her story. But that’s her story, and I am in full support of her bringing her story to life… how she wants to.”
She also insisted she’d only do the film if the pop star was fully on board, adding:
“I would want someone to bring it to life in the most beautiful way, and I’d always be open to that.”
By the way, this has been a dream of Millie’s for a LONG time! Back in 2022 on The Drew Barrymore Show, the British performer said playing the singer was on her “bucket list,” gushing:
“I want to play a real person and I think for me, Britney … [It] would be Britney Spears. I think her story, first of all, resonates with me.”
She furthered:
“Just growing up in the public eye watching her videos, watching interviews of how when she was younger … I see the scramble for words [in her interviews] and I don’t know her, but when I look at pictures of her, I feel like I could tell her story in the right way and hers only.”
Yeah, she REALLY wants this job!
The movie is still in the early stages with Jon M. Chu attached to direct, so it’s unclear if any casting decisions have been made. If they haven’t picked someone yet, Millie’s clearly doing everything she can to prove she’s the best person for the role!
