*The CW has greenlit an eighth and final season for its beloved drama “All American,” set to air in the 2025-26 season with 13 episodes.

Produced by Warner Bros. TV, the series ranks among the network’s top five longest-running scripted shows. This renewal marks the end of an era, as “All American” is the last scripted series from The CW’s Warner Bros. and CBS ownership days, before Nexstar acquired a majority stake in 2022.

Per THR, Brad Schwartz, president of The CW, praised the show’s legacy, stating, “All American is one of the greatest CW shows of all time and we are honored to bring it back for one final season to give fans a chance to say a meaningful goodbye to these inspiring characters and this incredible world.”

He highlighted the bold additions in season seven, which introduced new characters while retaining fan favorites, setting the stage for an emotional conclusion.

Showrunner Nkechi Okoro Carroll expressed deep gratitude, saying, “My heart is so filled with love and gratitude for everyone who helped bring All American to life and kept it going for its historic run.”

She thanked the cast, crew, executives, and fans inspired by Spencer James’s mantra, “Dream Big. Stay Real,” adding, “We are so excited we get to do it in the way we envisioned with this final season.”

Channing Dungey, chairman and CEO of Warner Bros. Television Group, reflected on the show’s impact: “Since the moment All American kicked off, the audience fell in love with these characters and their heartfelt stories.”

She expressed excitement for the final season, confident that Carroll and the team will deliver a memorable finale.

The series, inspired by Spencer Paysinger’s life, is executive produced by Carroll, Greg Berlanti, Jameal Turner, Sarah Schechter, and David Strauss. As The CW shifts toward unscripted shows, sports, and co-productions, “All American” closes a significant chapter in the network’s scripted legacy.
