Megan Thee Stallion Secures Gag Order Against Blogger in Defamation Lawsuit

*In a significant development in Megan Thee Stallion’s ongoing defamation lawsuit against gossip blogger Milagro Gramz, a federal judge has imposed a gag order to curb the blogger’s online commentary.
As Complex reports, the ruling, issued by U.S. Magistrate Judge Lisette M. Reid on June 4, prohibits Gramz from posting about Megan Thee Stallion in connection with the 2020 Tory Lanez shooting case, where Lanez was convicted of shooting the rapper in the foot.
In a lawsuit filed in Florida in October 2024, Megan accuses Gramz, real name Milagro Elizabeth Cooper, of orchestrating a “campaign of harassment” by spreading false narratives, including allegations that Megan was involved in the May 2025 prison stabbing of Lanez. The suit also claims Gramz acted as a “paid surrogate” for Lanez, who is serving a 10-year sentence for the shooting.
Megan’s attorney, Robert Schwartz, emphasized the severity of Gramz’s actions, stating, “It’s really getting out of hand. It rises potentially, at least in our judgments, to a level of incitement.” He further alleged that Gramz shared a deepfake pornographic video of Megan and falsely claimed the firearm used in the Lanez shooting was missing, despite it being held by the Los Angeles Police Department.
Judge Reid addressed the issue directly, stating, “There’s an accusation that you defamed her. So what I have to do as a judge in this case is at least contain the information that’s going around in social media from you right now on this case.”

The gag order also applies to Megan, ensuring neither party discusses the case publicly to prevent further escalation. Gramz, who is representing herself, agreed to refrain from posting about the case online, following concerns raised by Megan’s legal team that her comments could incite violence.
Megan’s legal action seeks monetary damages, attorney fees, and a permanent injunction to prevent Gramz from sharing intimate depictions of the rapper. In a statement last year, Megan expressed her frustration, saying, “It’s time to hold bloggers accountable for years of harassment, cyberbullying, and the publication of misinformation about my personal and professional life.”
She added, “I’ve endured countless attacks on my character based on false narratives from social media bloggers misrepresenting themselves as journalists. It’s unacceptable behavior and these individuals need to understand there will be repercussions for recklessly posting lies and defamatory falsehoods.”
Gramz has until June 27 to secure legal representation, or she will continue to represent herself. A deposition is scheduled for July 1.
