While you’re working your way through the Fantastic Four update, Marvel Snap is dialling up the community competition with the Golden Gauntlet World Championship Series. Kicking off August 9th, this brand new initiative from Second Dinner gives you a chance to compete, connect, and show off your skills, no matter your rank, collection level, or preferred playstyle.
Marvel Snap’s Golden Gauntlet Series is free to enter and fully online, with livestreams planned for each event. The action starts with a 1,024-player Open Qualifier focused on APAC and Western US regions.

If you’ve got a spicy off-meta brew or just want to test your ladder-seasoned instincts, you’ll face six rounds of Swiss play, with top 16 players moving into a single-elim bracket. Anyone finishing with a 5-1 record or better also qualifies for the Golden Gauntlet Worlds in November.
Registration for the first event opens July 31st, and it’s on a first-come, first-served basis. Future qualifiers for the Americas and EU/Eastern US are coming in September and October, with the final showdown set for November 8th. Over 300 players will take part in the global finale, culminating in a 9-round Swiss format followed by a top 16 playoff to crown the ultimate champion.
Second Dinner is partnering with Game On Events to host the series, and the devs are treating this as a celebration of community-driven competition. Even if you’re not competing, you can tune in live on Twitch and YouTube to watch the action unfold.
