On announcing its financial results, NetEase spoke of its ambitions for Marvel Rivals. Unsurprisingly, the aim is to open up the game to as many players as possible.
To achieve this, the Chinese company will be using a method that has become rather commonplace in online gaming: resorting to collaborations with other licenses and media as part of promotional events.
It should come as no surprise to see crossovers announced in the near future. Since Disney owns Marvel, it’s not hard to imagine that a number of high-profile licenses will be making its way into Marvel Rivals very soon.
