The Live audience groaned in a mix of shock and awe at Mark Consuelos’ latest observation about his wife, Kelly Ripa.
Morning TV’s spiciest couple kicked off Tuesday’s live show with a host chat about weighted vests that are used for exercise purposes, with Ripa admitting “I love my weighted vest,” but that her body poses a particular problem when she attempts to use it.
“I have the extra small, because — I’m going to say something. I’m going to say it, and I’m just gonna say it, and you’re all going to have have to deal with it,” Ripa said. “Because I don’t have boobs — yes, I said it! There, I said it!”

The studio audience applauded Ripa’s candor, as Consuelos assisted the description, telling his spouse, “There needs to be something in there” to assist her workout.
“There needs to be something to anchor it down, because mine fastens here, so when I walk, it just slides up, and the next thing I know, my weights are around my throat,” Ripa explained. “I find myself walking while holding my vest in place.”
One-upping the bit, Consuelos then joked, “I guess they don’t make toddler-sized weight vests just quite yet,” to which the Live studio audience responded with a collective groan as Ripa turned toward them to smile.
“That’s right, my audience, an audience of witnesses!” Ripa said. “Anyway, they’re saying it does help with things like bone density and improving your cardiovascular health.”

The joke came ahead of the couple’s interview with ABC News broadcaster David Muir, which included a portion where Ripa told the journalist that she’s taken “indecent photos” in front of his portrait inside the network’s headquarters in Manhattan.
“I’ve got to tell you, I have some very indecent photos of me standing in front of your picture that I can’t show on the air,” she told Muir. “Because they told me it was not suitable for broadcast.”

Consuelos jumped in, furthering the bit as he said that “HR was right next to her,” so they “had to make sure” in the end.
