It’s been almost seven years since we got a new Mega Man on consoles or PC. Capcom has been content to release compilations of older entries so far.
However, the Japanese publisher has not forgotten the iconic series that made it such a success in the late 80s and 90s. During its annual general meeting with investors, the Japanese com pany aswered a question about the place of Mega Man in its catalog.
"The Mega Man series is one of our most important IPs, and we are continuously considering ways to develop it further. However, we do not have any additional information we can share at this time."
Over its 36-year history, the Mega Man franchise has sold over 38 million copies. The latest game to date is Mega Man 11, which came out in October 2018.
