M6 ‘BLOCKED’ after crash brings traffic to a standstill with drivers facing huge delays

THE M6 is completely blocked after a crash brought traffic to a standstill with drivers facing huge queues.

Bumper-to-bumper traffic can be seen on the northbound carriageway between Junction 16 and 17.

There is also gridlock on the A500 through Audley. 

Emergency services rushed to the site of the crash in South Cheshire which has caused severe delays on the busy motorway.

A spokesperson for National Highways said: “Traffic is stopped on the M6 in Cheshire northbound between Junction and Junction 17 due to a collision.

“Emergency services are in attendance.

“Long delays building, please allow extra time for your journey.”
