Ultizero Games’ Lost Soul Aside has seen yet another delay, from its previously announced May 30th date to August 29th. Game director and studio CEO Yang Bing said the team required “additional time” to polish the long-awaited action RPG.

“We are truly grateful for the positive response we’ve received from players all over the world since we announced Lost Soul Aside. We remain committed to delivering a high-quality game experience. To match the standards Ultizero Games have set for ourselves, we are going to take some additional time to polish the game.”

Lost Soul Aside was first announced in 2016, though development stretches back to 2014. Published by Sony Interactive Entertainment under its China Hero Project, it takes significant inspiration from Final Fantasy 15, Ninja Gaiden, Bayonetta, and Devil May Cry.

It’s been a long road for development with a PS4 version in the works before it was cancelled and the team shifted to PS5 and PC. Pre-orders are still live on the PlayStation Store and Steam, though it may be blocked for the latter, depending on your region.

It also requires a PlayStation Network account on PC despite Sony relaxing requirements for the same across several other titles. Stay tuned for more details and updates in the coming months.
