Djokovic v Sinner live: French Open semi-final score and updates as Alcaraz awaits

Pressure on Sinner for the first time! He goes long on two forehand in a row, and the crowd responds with cries of ‘Nole’. 0-30. Sinner responds with a strong first serve and puts away the forehand winner.

Another long rally, where Djokovic looks to mix it up! He hangs up a high ball to change the pace, but Sinner deals with it. Then Djokovic goes for another drop shot and Sinner eats it up to put away the backhand winner.

Djokovic goes wide on the backhand. This would be a big hold for Sinner, who had coasted through the previous service games. Massive serve, massive forehand attacks, and the winner!

Djokovic saves the second break point – Sinner again defended well but this time the lob was short and Djokovic put away the smash.

Sinner nets on the return and it would be a big hold to rescue this. Good serve from Djokovic and he finds the forehand winner out to the right.

Extraordinary defence from Sinner! He scrambles back to his right to find the lob, which drops in. Djokovic nets on the overhead from behind the baseline. Another break point.

So good from Sinner, who is looking unfazed. He hits Djokovic with the body serve and then the forehand winner. Djokovic, on the run, sends his forehand looking down the line long.

Djokovic finds the net, again, with the drop shot! He is trying to shorten the rallies with Sinner brining so much pace.

Djokovic misses the ball completely! Sinner sends up a backhand and it must have taken a strange bounce because Djokovic could only swing at air! Sinner breaks.

Djokovic, indeed, is going to the drop shot as regularly as he did against Zverev. But he finds the net here after Sinner laned an ace out wide.

Djokovic pushes long on the forehand, after another brutal exchange – Sinner wins another baseline rally to hold after finding excellent depth. Djokovic, off balance, goes wide on the backhand.

A second drop shot from Djokovic already, he used that shot 36 times against Zverev in the quarter-finals. Again, Sinner reaches it but Djokovic reads the angled volley and steers it down the line.
