This marks Bell’s first nomination, despite the actress starring in several popular series including Veronica Mars, Gossip Girl, and Heroes. A full list of this year’s Emmy nominees can be found here.

Created by Erin Foster, Nobody Wants This stars Bell as Joanne, an agnostic woman who hosts a relationship podcast with her sister Morgan (Justine Lupe) only to find herself falling in love with a rabbi named Noah (Adam Brody). The 10-episode series, which was created by Erin Foster, has already been greenlit for a season 2, which will be released on Oct. 23.

Brody and Bell previously told Entertainment Weekly that the biggest “‘Oh my God’ moments” of season 2 won’t necessarily center around Noah and Joanne’s romance.

“The world has been built out beautifully in a very grounded, realistic way,” Bell explained. “Because, look, you fall in love with someone and for a while it’s just you and them. The world doesn’t exist. And then slowly the world starts peeking in and you two have to coexist in the world that sometimes can be shocking.”

The 77th Emmy Awards, hosted by comedian Nate Bargatze, air Sept. 14 at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on ABC.
