If there’s anything that kart racers are known for, it’s certainly not for respecting traffic laws. Whether it’s weaving between lanes, overtaking without looking or chucking shells at fellow drivers, you’re not exactly getting a masterclass in driving etiquette. But KartRider Rush+ seems to be looking to change that with their latest collab, with none other than the Gyeonggi Bukbu Provincial Police.
Yes, you read that right, KartRider Rush+ is teaming up with the cops! The Campaign to Promote Traffic Order collab will focus on educating players about a number of specific traffic violations, such as cutting in, illegal U-turns, tailgating, unauthorised use of ambulances and bus lane violations.
Fortunately, it’s not just dry educational content. You’ll be able to unlock new themed items by jumping in and completing missions or simply logging in. Available until August 17th, you can gather shards and exchange them for a total of 14 collaboration items, such as the K-Cop Car and K-Motorcycle.
Pullover! Cardigan!
It may seem a bit of a strange way to promote traffic order, but Nexon is also set to run their own online Facebook campaign until August 8th to further promote road safety. You’ll get a free Traffic Safety Standee to display in your in-game home, as well as the School Zone Driftmoji and Traffic Safety Balloon.
While I can’t necessarily see this vastly altering players’ behaviours on the track in KartRider Rush+, I think that it’s fair to say that new collab items and rewards are always welcome!
