Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet is said to be a cross between The Last of Us and Dark Souls

Before getting started, it’s important to take the following information with a grain of salt. A 4Chan user claims to have taken part in a QA test of Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet between February and May 2025 on PS5 Pro development kits.
According to this person, the game would be a sort of cross between The Last of Us Part II and Dark Souls. It would be "not open world in the Ubisoft sense", but rather a sandbox game with vast interconnected zones to traverse. To get around, we’ll use a glider and parkour, with fast travel points too.
Fighting would be "very good, satisfying feedback", with the possibility of linking combos, jumps and dashes. Battles are said to be close to those of God of War (2018). Weapons will of course be part of the game. The pistol seen in the trailer is said to be capable of targeting enemies’ weak points. There are destruction effects on metal, explosions and particles, all superbly realized.
To speak, the protagonist would use a dialogue wheel. Conversations would be few and far between, however, as our main character would be alone most of the time. Many confrontations will be optional, thanks to infiltration, evasion, negotiation and hacking. While cutscenes would be present, the story would also be told via the game’s environment and by finding objects such as newspapers.
Finally, the lighting system is said to be "insane". The colors of a location could change in real time according to the different phases of the planet. Naughty Dog is aiming for a late 2026 release, and a cinematic trailer could be shown at the Game Awards 2025.
