Infold Games’ hit dress-up sim Infinity Nikki is set to expand even further with a brand-new season arriving with the titular Blue Tears. This update offers haunting new mysteries and content to explore, all running from July 8th to July 29th, and it features all the strange worldbuilding and dress-up fun Infinity Nikki is known for.
Nikki and Momo are once more confronted by a brand-new story to uncover in Breezy Meadows. A twenty-year phenomenon known as the Blue Tears appears across the landscape, which supposedly allows one to revisit their past and reconcile with what they’ve lost.
Nikki herself starts to see phantom-like apparitions, echoes of a tragic past only she can see. So with the help of a solitary scout and reserved historians, it’s up to you to guide Nikki to uncover the meaning behind these visions. An adventure that will take her through dreamlike landscapes and ancient ruins alike, where a sorrowful spirit awaits its final rest.
Tears for fears
Surprisingly enough the Blue Tears season is a little less focused on dress-up and more on the various story quests and side content that contribute to the sombre and mysterious tone. It definitely doesn’t sound like a cheerful time to be had, but the themes of loss, memory and redemption are pretty timeless.
You can look forward to more details at launch, but there are plenty of immersive environments, atmospheric storytelling and other new gameplay experiences that are being added. Certainly, it presents an interesting diversion from the usually colourful content being added.
