In the end, physical Nintendo Switch 2 Edition games will feature the upgrade in the cart

Last week, we got the wrong info that physical editions of Nintendo Switch 2 Edition games would feature the Switch 1 version card and a download code for the upgrade.

In the end, the Japanese company has confirmed that both the game and its upgrade will be stored directly on the card. This is good news if a player then wishes to resell his copy or simply lend it to a friend, since a code can generally only be used once.

The manufacturer points out, however, that some publishers may only include a simple download code in the box with their title, freshly optimized for the Switch 2.
