Disney Speedstorm brings the infamous Evil Queen to the racetrack

  • Disney Speedstorm’s latest racer is here as the Evil Queen joins the lineup
  • Slow other racers with a poison apple or take the leader down a peg with the magic mirror
  • The Evil Queen offers plenty of dirty tricks to keep opponents from winning

When it comes to plumbing the Disney Vaults, it’s hard to imagine that there are characters Disney Speedstorm hasn’t brought to the racetrack. But they always seem to find someone new to don a jumpsuit and hop into a kart. Case in point, the famous Evil Queen from Snow White is the latest entrant!

Yes, The Evil Queen (real name, Grimhilde, if you need that for trivia night) is set to arrive in a snazzy purple jumpsuit and a suitably baroque-looking kart of her very own. And as you might expect, her abilities come with plenty of references to her appearance in the famous classic film.

As a Trickster class, The Evil Queen is all about kicking others when they’re down. Her regular ability sees a Poison Apple being given to the first Racer she touches, reducing their top speed dramatically. Meanwhile, her charged ability summons the Magic Mirror, drastically reducing the lead racer’s speed.

*Insert evil laugh here*

Speedstorm certainly hasn’t shied away from interesting picks across Disney history, so it’s almost a surprise that they’ve taken this long to get to the most villainest of villainess herself. At the same time, Ol’ Grimmy’s abilities are certainly likely to prove a major obstacle on the course for other racers.

You’ll want to keep both eyes on the road though, as to celebrate her inclusion a new limited-time event will let you nab Evil Queen shards in the course of your competitions on the course.
