In addition to selling 1.5 million units in Japan, the Switch 2 has sold 1.6 million units in the USA during June 2025.
Last month, it was the number-one console on the US market, both in terms of units sold and dollars generated. It is also the best first month for a console in US history. The previous record was held by the PS4, with its 1.1 million sales.
The success of the Switch 2 in the USA has seen hardware sales soar by 249% in one month, reaching a total of $948 million. Year-on-year, accessories sales rose by 29% in June 2025 in the United States. This is largely due to the Switch 2 Pro controller, which 32% of console buyers decided to purchase.
