Honor of Kings: World unveils new dev diary to show off upcoming features

- Honor of Kings: World has shown off a new dev diary
- It features a decisive overview of combat in action
- We also get behind-the-scenes commentary on combos and other details
While Honor of Kings may be a relatively new phenomenon to gamers in the West, it’s undoubtedly already made its mark with a global release and even a feature in the Amazon anthology series Secret Level. But it’s the upcoming action RPG Honor of Kings: World that really seeks to elevate the franchise.
Now, you can check out a brand-new dev diary which offers perhaps the most in-depth look at Honor of Kings: World thus far. The main focus here is combat, where the familiar Crimson Beast (a favourite target of junglers in HoK) gets an upgrade into a full-fledged boss.
We not only get a look at the combat systems but also commentary from the developers to explain how you can summon different weapons and switch to a more mage-like skillset with Chrono Anomaly. Naturally, all of this goes towards offering an impressive combo-based battle that we get to see in action.
Coming up
Aside from that, the main point of this dev diary seems to be giving us a basic, but fairly open, overview of what will be coming with HoK World. We get to see more of the familiar heroes from the MOBA make an appearance, some glimpses of open-world exploration and confirmation of co-operative multiplayer.
Perhaps most importantly, as well, we also get to see the mobile version of Honor of Kings: World in action, and emphasis is placed on optimisation as an important part of the development process. This’ll be welcome news, especially with all the flashy effects and graphical goodies on display in this video.
You might be planning on jumping into Honor of Kings to get a taste for it ahead of World’s release. Like any MOBA, though, you’ll want to get a handle on how exactly the characters handle, so be sure to check out our Honor of Kings tier list!
