The Ready At Dawn co-founder opens Atlantis Studio in France

Back in August 2024, Meta made the decision to close Ready At Dawn. At the time, the studio specialized in VR games, but was also responsible for several major PlayStation titles such as the God of War games on PSP and The Order 1886.
This week, studio co-founder Ru Weerasuriya and his collaborator Nico Augusto announced the opening of a new facility in Avignon, France. Atlantis Studio boasts a team of veterans from Ubisoft and Midgar Studio.
Atlantis Studio is already at work on an "ambitious first game" that will run on Unreal Engine 5. Weerasuriya declared that "our vision is to foster a creative and collaborative environment where experienced talents can come together to develop games driven by our shared passions".
