While Hogwarts Legacy is already available on Switch, Avalanche Software has decided not to rely on this version to design the one that will land on Switch 2 on June 5.
In a recent video, the studio explained that it had taken advantage of next-generation assets. On Switch 2, the game will benefit from a number of graphical improvements to texture resolution, lighting and the number of characters on screen.
There’s also motion controls for aiming and flying. The Joy-Con mouse mode will even give rise to a brand-new gaming experience. In addition, the console’s touch screen will be used to navigate menus.
Last but not least, Avalanche also mentions the use of GameChat to "play Hogwarts Legacy with friends". It remains to be seen whether this is a multiplayer mode created for the occasion, or just chatting with other users while playing.
