Hideki Kamiya would one day like to try doing Scalebound again

Among the collaborations that ended very badly, there was of course the one between Xbox and PlatinumGames on Scalebound. This action-RPG, which was supposed to be a major exclusive of the Xbox One era, was finally cancelled in 2017.
During development and beyond, the game’s director, Hideki Kamiya, had not minced his words against the American company. However, it would appear that this rancor is now a thing of the past.
On X.com, Kamiya posted a rather evocative message. In a video, he is seen with his current team at Clovers Studio, watching excerpts from Scalebound. Despite the project’s cancellation, he explains that he’s proud of what was done at the time, and describes the main character’s appearance to his colleagues.
The director adds that he would very much like to relaunch the production of Scalebound and even goes so far as to issue a "Let’s do it, Phil ”, addressing Phil Spencer, the CEO of Microsoft Gaming.
Of course, there’s no guarantee that Kamiya will follow through on this. Clovers Inc. is currently working on Okami 2 with Capcom.
Let’s do it, Phil ! 😀 https://t.co/BLdBs3hxGt
