Bohemia Interactive has announced DayZ Badlands, its third official expansion, scheduled for release in 2026. It will introduce a new 267 km² desert map to the west of Chernarus, on the border with Takistan, the largest ever added to DayZ.
Main new features in DayZ Badlands :
- New map: exploration of the Nasdara province, entirely desert.
- Arid climate: management of thirst, drought and survival in a dry spring.
- War-torn environment: dense cities, abandoned ruins and Soviet military infrastructure.
- Regional content: desert-appropriate infected, region-specific items, cosmetics and weapons.
- Open-ended storytelling: create factions, explore forgotten secrets and build a new world.
The Nasdara desert, ravaged by conflict, is now a free space, left to survival, reconquest or be plunged into chaos. Each player builds his or her own story, between danger, exploration and strategic choices.
