Gypsy Rose Blanchard Feels ‘Guilty’ for ‘Breaking’ Ex Ryan’s Heart

Gypsy Rose Blanchard looked back on her split from ex-husband Ryan Anderson and admitted she felt guilty for leaving him and reconnecting with her current boyfriend, Ken Urker.

During the season 2 premiere of Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up on Monday, March 10, Gypsy, 33, explained that she was having a hard time finding peace regarding her split from Ryan, 38. She announced their separation in March 2024 and filed for divorce one month later. Gypsy and Ken, whom she was previously engaged to while in prison, rekindled their romance in April 2024.

“Every time that we have talked or texted since the divorce was filed, it’s me trying to apologize for breaking his heart,” Gypsy told cameras about Ryan during the season premiere. “And as much as I’m trying to live my life and be happy, of course, from time to time, that guilt is going to weigh on my conscience.”

Three months after Gypsy and Ken got back together, they shocked the world when she announced her pregnancy with their first baby in July 2024. Her divorce from Ryan was finalized in December 2024, and she gave birth to baby No. 1, daughter Aurora, that same month.

During the episode, Ken admitted he wished Gypsy had “gotten through” the divorce process before they found out they were expecting a baby. “It’s not a good look for me. It’s not a good look for her. It’s not a good look,” he said.

“But, it happened, and so I’m gonna be a big girl, and I’m gonna put on my big girl pants, and I’m gonna freaking do this,” Gypsy responded, and Ken jokingly said, “Same answer for me, except boy pants.”

Later on in the episode, Gypsy told Ryan that their divorce would soon be finalized. “I reached out to my attorney a few days ago, and she texted me back, and she said, ‘I’ll have the paperwork for you to sign this week,” she explained. “I said, ‘Meaning the divorce will be final soon.’ She said, ‘Yes, ma’am.’”

Gypsy also shared that she hoped finalizing the divorce would give Ryan a sense of closure. “I think Ryan has a glimmer of hope that he feels like, okay, it’s not finalized yet, so maybe we might get back together or something,” she said in a confessional. “So I’m hoping that once the divorce is final, that is what needs to sink in.”

“And that’s what I have been trying to convey ever since I filed, I’m like ‘I care about you,’” the Lifetime star continued. “’I wish you the best. I wish you would move on and find happiness. That’s what I want for you.’ He has not conveyed that to me.”

She added, “It’s hard whenever you have one foot in the past and one foot in the future, and it’s kind of like you just want to close that chapter and move on, and I feel like in me moving on and with the divorce, finalizing it will also give him that closure he needs too.”
