Gwyneth Paltrow can’t pick between Jude Law, Timothee Chalamet in f—, marry, kill

To be fair, Gwyneth Paltrow said fans could ask her anything.

“This is impossible! There’s no way I can answer this,” the Oscar winner said on Tuesday’s episode of The goop Podcast after explaining the entire show would be dedicated to fan questions. The first was a doozy. “MFK: Jude Law, Robert Downey Jr., or Timothée Chalamet,” she read.

Eesh. Still, the actress and entrepreneur forged ahead in the sticky situation.

“OK, I would marry Robert, because we would just laugh so much and have such a fun, weird life. And travel,” said Paltrow, who married writer and producer Brad Falchuk in 2018. “And, anyway I’m already basically married to him. I am married to him in movies, so what’s the difference?”

Paltrow played Pepper Potts to Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark in several Marvel movies.

It was the “f” in the equation that left her perplexed. Should she choose Law or Chalamet?

The Goop founder has worked with Law a few times, beginning with 1999’s The Talented Mr. Ripley, in which she played his character’s girlfriend.

“That’s very tough,” she said. “I guess I have to say Jude, only because it’s like robbing the cradle, really, if I do it with Timothée. I think my children would kill me if I did that.”

Paltrow shares two adult children — Apple, 21, and 19-year-old Moses — with her ex-husband Chris Martin, the lead singer of Coldplay. At 29, Chalamet is a bit older than them. (Paltrow herself is 52.)

The age difference did not keep Paltrow and Chalamet’s characters from finding chemistry in their new movie Marty Supreme, which opens Dec. 25 in the U.S.

“We have a lot of sex in this movie,” Paltrow told Vanity Fair in March. “There’s a lot—a lot.”

Ultimately, she decided she wouldn’t answer the podcast question exactly.

“Both! I’m gonna marry all three. I’m gonna marry and f— all three. How’s that?”

As for the “k,” Paltrow passed.

“I’m a modern woman. I’m not killing anyone,” she said, before switching to a question about her favorite lobster roll spot. (It’s the one at Los Angeles restaurant Connie and Ted’s.)
