Len’s Island Crafting Guide | How to Upgrade Tools

Our Len’s Island Crafting Guide will teach you the basics of crafting, explain how to upgrade items, and tell you how to craft with Blueprints.

How Len’s Island Crafting Works
Len’s Island Crafting is similar to most other games — you’ll gather some resources and use them to make buildings, weapons, and tools with those resources. However, it has some key differences.
Everything is crafted at the Work Bench or other stations. You’ll have to “craft” some items when you buy things from merchants in town; you’re not going to outright buy everything with Gold Coins alone.
As for your Weapons and Tools, you don’t craft specific items. Rather, you “unlock” access to the items. You can never lose them, but you’ll only be able to equip them from your Backpack.
Finally, you’ll be able to repair some items in the world such as bridges and ladders. These, too, will require resources; make sure to always carry some Wood, Fibers, Stone, and other basic resources with you when you’re exploring the map just in case you need it.
How to Unlock More Crafting Recipes
There are essentially two ways to unlock more crafting recipes in Len’s Island:
- Upgrading your crafting stations (such as the Work Bench)
- Finding craftable items in the world
All of your unlocked crafting recipes can be viewed in the various tabs on your Backpack.

How to Craft from Blueprints
You can craft items from Blueprints by opening up the associated crafting station (such as the Anvil), opening up your Backpack, and dragging the Blueprint into the slot of the crafting station.
How to Upgrade Tools and Weapons
You can upgrade tools and weapons by dragging the weapon or tool onto the Anvil and paying the upgrade cost. Note that upgrading some items to a higher tier may require specialized resources that can only be found in other areas on the map.
