Goat Simulator 3 set to see Multiverse of Nonsense released later this year, new free update out now

  • Goat Simulator’s Goat Direct showcase wrapped up today, with surprisingly few jokes
  • But there were plenty of new merch announcements and other juicy titbits
  • Goat Simulator 3 for mobile is receiving the Multiverse of Nonsense expansion pack

For a series which prides itself on being irreverent and humorous, Goat Simulator’s Goat Direct showcase proved to be surprisingly light on practical jokes. The showcase mainly displayed new collectibles like plushies and a CRKD controller line, while also teasing the upcoming card game.

However, for us, it’s one particular announcement that catches the eye which is that the Goat Simulator 3 expansion pack Multiverse of Nonsense is officially confirmed to be arriving soon on mobile! A solid release date hasn’t yet been revealed, but further information has been promised shortly.

Multiverse of Nonsense, as you might expect from the title, sees your goat self crossing over into a parallel universe filled with all sorts of weird and whacky changes. Be that a cartoon-themed town, a city of goats or a mythical mountaintop.

But wait, there’s more

Not only that, but the folks at Coffee Stain North have also debuted a new, free update for Goat Simulator 3 to celebrate April Fool’s Day. The 10th-anniversary celebration features 27 new bits of gear, two new events to San Angora and an alternative goat skin themed after the upcoming plushie Pilgor that’s set to release this year.

I suppose in a way it’s rather fitting that Goat Direct was light on the practical jokes. After all with how many ridiculous additions this series has seen, it’d probably just annoy people if they sprinkled in some nonexistent additions amongst other hotly-anticipated releases for goat fans worldwide.

Speaking of which, if you want to turn your attention to something almost entirely different from Goat Simulator, why not dig into our review of retro-style, HOMM-like strategy Songs of Conquest? Or perhaps you’d rather stay Ahead of the Game with our regular feature covering upcoming releases, as this week we cover the upcoming tower defence Sushimon.
