*Rapper GloRilla, legally named Gloria Hallelujah Woods, was arrested in Forsyth County, Georgia, on Tuesday for felony drug possession and released on a $22,000 bond the same day.
We reported earlier that the charges arose during a police investigation into an attempted home invasion at her residence early Saturday. GloRilla, who was performing at the WNBA All-Star game in Indianapolis, voluntarily surrendered to authorities.
In a Thursday post on X, GloRilla expressed outrage, stating, “CRAZY My House got Home Invaded Saturday While I was in Indianapolis performing for the WNBA all star game & instead of Focusing on finding the Suspects , they focus on some cannabis.”
She added, “Long story short my house gets home invaded and Im the only one that gets arrested.” The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office reported that an armed occupant fired at three intruders who stole jewelry and fled.
Deputies, responding to the burglary, detected narcotics, leading to a search warrant that uncovered a large quantity of marijuana at GloRilla’s home. Her legal team called the charges misguided, arguing, “Ms. Woods is a victim, not a suspect.” They noted she was not present during the invasion.
GloRilla’s attorneys further stated, “Ms. Woods was out of town when her residence became a target for a group of home invaders who most likely knew she wasn’t there.” They criticized police for pursuing drug charges against her while no arrest warrants have been issued for the intruders.
This incident marks GloRilla’s second legal encounter in Georgia within a year. In April 2024, she was arrested in Gwinnett County for DUI. Police say she made a U-turn at a red light, leading to a traffic stop and her arrest. That incident was her first known arrest in Georgia, and this new charge adds to her growing legal challenges in the state.
