Shogun Showdown launches on Crunchyroll Game Vault for some roguelike deckbuilding action across feudal Japan

- Turn-based tactical battles
- Lovely pixel art set in feudal Japan
- Available with Crunchyroll Mega or Ultimate Fan Membership
If you’re still reeling from the announcements from Crunchyroll’s Ani-May celebration, here’s something else to add to all the fun – Shogun Showdown, the pixel-art tactical deckbuilder with roguelike elements, is coming to the library too. Crunchyroll Game Vault’s latest entry will have you exploring feudal Japan across procedurally generated battles in 2D, and it’s exclusively available on the subscription service on mobile.
While the term “exclusive” does get thrown around a lot, this simply means that you won’t get to play Shogun Showdown on mobile anywhere else. Using your Crunchyroll Mega or Ultimate Fan Membership, you can access Goblinz Studio’s turn-based battler along with a roster of other games for the price of admission.
As for this mobile debut, you can look forward to intuitive touch screen controls to keep rage-quitting to a minimum – but in case your clumsy fingers get in the way (just like they often do for me), there’s controller support here too for any possible button-mashing. Multi-language support, on the other hand, comes in English, French, German, Portuguese – Brazil, and Spanish – Spain.
Now, if you’re on the hunt for something similar to sink your teeth into, why not take a look at our list of the best roguelikes and roguelites for Android to get your fill? And speaking of Goblinz Studio, did you know that their charming Spin Hero is out now on mobile too?
In the meantime, if you’re eager to join in on all the fun, you can do so by checking out Shogun Showdown on the App Store and on Google Play.
