Fallout: Bakersfield, a mod aiming to recreate the first game in the franchise, is back in the spotlight

Despite the absence of a new game from Bethesda in almost seven years, Fallout remains a hugely popular franchise with a large community of fans. And it’s thanks to this community that we are about to get an ambitious title.

Fallout: Bakersfield is a reinvention of the very first entry that released in 1997. It uses the GZDoom engine to transform the original game into an FPS with an aesthetic and gameplay similar to DOOM.

The new four-minute trailer gives us a glimpse of the mod. It still has no release window, although the project is about 60% complete.
