EUR Car Review: 2025 Hyundai IONIQ 6 Limited AWD

*Off the bat, I love an IONIQ in any of its forms, but I am a true fan of the 6. With its fun, futuristic design and great handling, I think it’s my favorite electric vehicle I’ve driven to date. Let’s get into it.
The Look: The first time I met the Hyundai IONIQ 6, I was immediately in love. This vehicle has such a fun, futuristic design, reminiscent of the Jetsons. The 2025 Hyundai IONIQ 6 Limited AWD keeps the look going and reminds us that electric vehicles can be fun! The curvature of the IONIQ 6 gives car lovers the aerodynamics they look for in sports vehicles, adding to its efficient performance. With a fastback roofline, flush door handles, and a distinctive rear light bar that spans the full width of the car, the IONIQ 6 is definitely turning heads on the road.. On the Limited trim, 20-inch alloy wheels and gloss black accents give it a sportier, more refined presence.
Inside, the cabin is minimalist yet premium. Twin 12.3-inch curved displays dominate the dash, while ambient pixel lighting and sustainable materials—like recycled PET fabrics and bio paint—help the interior feel both futuristic and responsible. This aspect is one of my favorites about the design. Hyundai is really redefining what it means to be sustainable. The “mindful cocoon” layout is designed to keep driver and passenger comfort at the forefront, with generous space and clean lines that emphasize serenity over flash. One small complaint I have about the model I drove is that the sunroof was mid. I am an advocate for panoramic sunroofs.
The Drive: With dual motors producing a combined 320 horsepower, the IONIQ 6 Limited AWD delivers brisk performance—0 to 60 mph happens in just under 5 seconds. The base model and other trims vary in horsepower, but who said your electric vehicle had to be slow? Acceleration is instant and smooth, an aspect I love about fully electric vehicles. Despite its sedan form, the IONIQ 6 handles like a sportier vehicle, balancing composed cornering with a comfortable ride.
The Limited trim also includes Hyundai’s advanced adaptive suspension, which helps soak up road imperfections while offering confidence in sharp turns or those annoying potholes New York so generously offers. Regenerative braking is customizable via steering wheel paddles, allowing for one-pedal driving or more traditional feel. It’s a quiet, composed drive that suits both highway cruising and city commuting—efficient without feeling detached.
The Tech: The IONIQ 6 Limited AWD is packed with smart technology, both for convenience and safety. The infotainment system supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the voice recognition is impressively responsive.
A head-up display and surround-view camera system add visibility to the drive, while features like Hyundai’s Digital Key 2.0 let you unlock and start the car with just your smartphone, if you’re totally into the future of driving.
Driver-assist features are extensive and standard: adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, blind spot monitoring, and Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with junction turning. The IONIQ 6 also benefits from an 800V charging architecture—capable of ultra-fast DC charging from 10% to 80% in about 18 minutes at compatible stations. And get this: Hyundai includes two years of free charging with Electrify America, sweetening the deal for early adopters.
The 2025 Hyundai IONIQ 6 Limited AWD delivers an elegant, high-tech, and genuinely exciting EV experience. It’s a forward-looking sedan with the styling of a concept car, the driving dynamics of a sport tourer, and the practical benefits of cutting-edge charging and safety tech. For drivers seeking a refined, all-electric ride that doesn’t compromise on personality or performance, the IONIQ 6 Limited makes a strong, future-ready statement.
