Where to Find Every Abiotic Factor Trader

This guide will tell you where to find every Abiotic Factor trader, and we’ll also show you which items you can trade for new and useful crafting materials.

How an Abiotic Factor Trader Works
An Abiotic Factor trader allows you to exchange one specific resource for another item. These traders never run out of stock, and in many cases, they are the only way to get the items you need in large quantities. Essentially, Traders are a source of infinite resources as long as you can give them the correct input items.
You’ll find a lot of crafting materials as you explore the map, but most items in the GATE Facility won’t respawn. Traders — combined with exploring Portal Worlds — are one of the ways that you can get an infinite supply of the stuff you need to survive.
There are three types of traders:
- Stationary Traders: Some human traders (such was Warren in The Office Sector lobby and The Blacksmith in Manufacturing West) will remain at a static location 24/7; they can typically be unlocked simply by interacting with them. Stationary Traders have limited stocks that will replenish periodically.
- Traveling Traders: Other human traders will travel from place to place and occasionally visit you. Each Traveling Trader has a different item they will move to. Like Stationary Traders, Traveling Traders will have limited stocks that replenish over time.
- Trade Kiosks: Certain machines can automatically trade one item for another, such as the Trade Kiosks in the Cascade Laboratories. Any incorrect items inserted into such a kiosk will automatically be deposited in the output. Trade Kiosks have infinite stock.
Nearly all Traders are in areas that also have enemies. You can and will be attacked while you’re trading, so make sure the area is clear of enemies before you start digging around in your inventory.

Where to Find Every Abiotic Factor Trader (and What They Trade)
Here is where to find every Abiotic Factor Trader in each of the GATE Facility’s Sectors, along with a list of what they trade.
The Office Sector Traders
The only dedicated trader in The Office Sector is Warren the Security Guard until the very end of the game, after which you’ll unlock the ability to trade with Dr. Thule.

You can find Warren in the Plaza just outside of the Cafeteria where you begin the game. Warren was originally just an NPC who helps you out with a tip at the start of the game, but a post-launch update added in the ability for him to trade.
Like most traders, Warren’s list of trades evolve as you play through the game and discover new items. You won’t be able to trade much with him at the start of the game, but he’ll gradually expand his selection as you find new items, speak with NPCs, and progress the story.
Warren is the easiest guaranteed source of the Light Gun Repair Kit which allows you to repair Security Pistols, Talagi Magnums, Montese SMGs, and Romag Shotguns. You’ll want to visit Warren frequently if you prefer to use guns.

Flathill Traders
There is one Trade Kiosk in Flathill, but you won’t be able to access it until you make it to The Reactors.
Purified Corn Trade Kiosk
The Purified corn Trade Kiosk is contained behind a Fungal Growth in the corn syrup company. You’ll need an Anti-Fungal Gelatin from Village Den da’ko Yeer, a Portal World found at the start of The Reactors.
Manufacturing West Traders
The main trader in Manufacturing West is The Blacksmith, an enigmatic individual who can get you unique components that can’t be found elsewhere.

Hive Larva
Item | Number Available |
Cost |
---|---|---|
Big Hive Larva Figurine | Infinite | 5 Gem Crab |
Gem Crab Bait | Infinite | 1 Powdered Crystal |
The Hive Larva is a hidden trader in The Encroachment, a special section of Manufacturing West themed as a nod to Core Keeper. To trade with him, you’ll need to kill the big worm traveling around the area, craft a Beekeeper’s Suit, and craft a Larva Suit to be able to trade with him.
The Labs Traders
The Labs Traders are a collection of several kiosks spread throughout the entire Cascade Laboratories Sector. Each kiosk is in a unique location and it only trades a single item.
Anteverse Gem for Liquid Crystal
Item | Number Available |
Cost |
---|---|---|
1 Liquid Crystal | Infinite | 1 Anteverse Gem |
This trading kiosk will give you 1 Liquid Crystal for every 1 Anteverse Gem you put in it and can be found in the Adjustment Wing. Liquid Crystal is used in very few crafting recipes in the early game, so you shouldn’t trade for too much of it until you progress to a later point.
You can find this kiosk by going to The Labs sector road in The Office Sector and going up the path marked “Laboratories.” From there, walk past the wounded Order soldiers on the floor and you’ll find the trading kiosk in a small, unassuming office to the right.
Anteverse Wheat for Anteverse Gem
Item | Number Available |
Cost |
---|---|---|
1 Anteverse Gem | Infinite | 1 Anteverse Wheat |
This trading kiosk gives you 1 Anteverse Gem for every 1 Anteverse Wheat. It can be found on the upper floor of the Adjustment Wing in a large, unmarked lab.
Anteverse Gem is a critical component for many of the new items you’ll craft in the Cascade Laboratories and beyond. Fortunately, you can grow more than enough Anteverse Wheat to get the Anteverse Gems that you’ll need.
Leyak Essence for Greyeb Seed
Item | Number Available |
Cost |
---|---|---|
1 Greyeb Seed | Infinite | 1 Leyak Essence |
This trading kiosk will give you 1 Greyeb Seed for every 1 Leyak Essence you provide it. It can be found in the room marked “Cold Storage” in the Adjustment Wing.
Greyeb Seed will allow you to plant Greyebs, a crop that opens up access to some higher-tier crafting recipes. Since it’s a crop, you will only really need one Greyeb Seed to get things started; you can then scrap the grown Greyebs to get more Greyeb Seeds.
Silver for Refined Carbon
Item | Number Available |
Cost |
---|---|---|
1 Refined Carbon | Infinite | 1 Silver Scrap |
This trading kiosk will give you 1 Refined Carbon for every 1 Silver Scrap you put into it. It can be found in the Cellular Lab in the Adjustment Wing.
Refined Carbon is used in many new crafting recipes that you’ll need to survive the Cascade Laboratories Sector including the Carbon Battery, certain weapons, and certain pieces of armor. It’s definitely worth a few return trips to The Train in order to get more!
The Reactors Traders
The Reactors has a single Trade Kiosk and that’s about it.

1 Plutonic Blood | Infinite | 1 Plutonic Carapace |
The only Trade Kiosk in The Reactors allows you to get 1 Plutonic Blood in exchange for 1 Plutonic Carapace.
