Like many other games, Fortnite will get optimized for Switch 2 this Thursday, June 5. Epic Games has detailed the technical specifications and features of this version.
On Switch 2, Fortnite will be able to run at 60 frames per second. It will go for a definition of 2176×1224 in TV mode and 1600×900 in portable mode. The display distance will also be greater. Of course, all textures, shadows and water rendering will be of better quality. Clothing physics will also be on too.
In terms of new features compared to the Switch game, a replay system will allow us to relive our best Battle Royale games. Video clips will be recorded at the touch of a button, and GameChat will be supported. This can be used to stream sessions with up to three friends. Finally, as of June 7, mouse controls using the Joy-Con 2 will be integrated.
