Dr. Abron also met with California Greenworks, in addition to a private meeting with local engineers, developers and community representatives. The fire devastation in the Pacific Palisades and Altadena draws grave concern for Dr. Abron. Her visit to Los Angeles was mission driven.
Dr. Abron: “It cannot be rebuilt the way that it was. I know how to solve these problems. I know how to fix the land, and I know what kind of building materials are needed. My team knows how to rebuild and how to do it correctly so that this never happens again.”
Westbrooks Management (Dr. Logan H. Westbrooks) and SB Media were the hosts of Dr. Abron’s visit to Los Angeles. Their goal is to make sure that Dr. Abron’s expertise is included in the coalitions that are being formed for the rebuilding effort. Invitations were also extended to city officials. Among those who offered regrets for not being available to attend were 5th District County Supervisor Kathryn Barger’s office. The Abron team could not yet reach Mayor Karen Bass’ Chief Recovery Officer Steve Soboroff. However, in addition to a future meeting with Supervisor Barger and Mr. Soboroff, Dr. Abron also hopes to reach Magic Johnson’s and Danny Bakewell’s Altadena focused teams.
PEER is deeply committed to sustainable land-use strategies that reduce fire hazards and align with the geological features of the region. Dr. Abron excels in designing business models that engage project beneficiaries alongside developers and city planners to foster collaboration and innovation. Dr. Abron and her team have delivered utility infrastructure management services, supporting prime contractors in conducting inventory and condition assessments at various U.S. Marine Corps bases, including MCAS Yuma, Arizona; Camp Pendleton, California; and MCAGCC 29 Palms, California.
Dr. Abron also received recognition from 20th District State Senator Caroline Menjivar and Congressman Brad Sherman of the 32nd District.
