Yes! Abbey and David have spoken openly about their plans to get married in the future in interviews, on social media and in episodes of the show.
During a sit-down with “The Unplanned Podcast” in March 2025, the “Boyfriend Forever” singer admitted that she’s “always, always wanted to be old enough to get married,” because to her, marriage means she’s “like a princess.”
The next month, Abbey told Today.com that they “already feel like we’re married from the inside.”
David added, “We are not ready to do the real thing yet.”
One of their concerns is how much marriage would change their day-to-day lifestyles and living situations – David currently lives with his sisters, Aubrey and Alison, while Abbey lives with her mother.
“It doesn’t have to be in the traditional sense of what a neurotypical person would make it look like,” Abbey’s mother, Christine, said she’d told her daughter during their appearance on “The Unplanned Podcast” in March. “You can have your place; he can still have his place. You can still do what you do until you’re ready to move in together … so that they can make that commitment without having it to upheaval everything else.”

Abbey and David Discussed Having Kids on ‘Love on the Spectrum’
During season 3 of Love on the Spectrum, David and Abbey lounged in a hot tub as they talked about their plans for the future.
“One day, we will live together, and we shall adopt children,” David said.
Abbey chimed in, “Unless I get pregnant with one, if I stop taking those birth [control] pills.”
The couple then imagined what it would be like for Abbey to give birth and how David would help her to relax if she was “screaming while popping a child out.” He assured her that he would coach her through breathing exercises and tell her to “hold your horses” and “just breathe.”
Abbey smiled and quipped, “I guess my mom’s gonna be a grandma!”
