A live-action film Death Stranding is being produced by A24 in partnership with Kojima Productions, but this won’t be the only adaptation the game is getting.
During an interview with Vogue Japan, Hideo Kojima also mentioned the existence of an anime based on the game.
"I’m currently working with A24 on a live-action film adaptation of Death Stranding […] I want to create a Death Stranding that can only be made in the cinema. A film that could win awards at festivals such as the Cannes Film Festival or the Venice Film Festival. In fact, we’re currently working on an anime adaptation."
Back in September, the Japanese director spoke of his desire to consolidate the Death Stranding license through other forms of media.
