Cyberpunk 2077 – Patch 2.3 is in Development

With Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition out today on Nintendo Switch 2 and Update 2.2 signaling the end of support, you would think CD Projekt RED has fully moved on. However, even with its sequel, Project Orion, shifting to the pre-production phase, the developer still has one more update left for its open-world action RPG.
Associate game director Paweł Sasko confirmed on BlueSky that Update 2.3 is in the works and that the team “have been cooking for you in secret for a bit.” There’s no ETA or other details, but it will reveal more “when it’s ready.”
Created in collaboration with Virtuos, Update 2.2 went live last December. It added the RayField CrystalCoat for customizing vehicle colors (and even copying other vehicles’ paint jobs via TwinTone). There were also ten new vehicles, Drone Mode in Photo Mode, 112 new options for the Character Creator, and much more. Subsequent patches focused on addressing bugs and other issues while supporting Nvidia DLSS 4 and other features.
Stay tuned for more information on Update 2.3 in the coming months. Alongside the recently released Switch 2 version, Cyberpunk 2077 is available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC. Its expansion, Phantom Liberty, is only available on current-gen platforms and has sold 10 million copies.
