Nintendo Direct gave us a glimpse of several third-party games coming to Switch 2. The Digital Foundry YouTube channel has broken down the performance of these titles… And it’s clearly not always the best.

First of all, we learn that the console features FSR 1 and TAAU as scaling algorithms. NVIDIA’s DLSS is not included. As far as games are concerned, Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition features dynamic definition between 540p and 1080p at 30 FPS. There are frops to 23 FPS were noted on the video.

FromSoftware’s new license, Duskbloods, is in 1080p at 30 FPS. Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade and Elden Ring** also run at 30 FPS. Unfortunately, framerate drops can be observed on the latter. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 fares much better, with a near 4K display at 60 FPS.

As for first-party titles, Mario Kart World is in 1440p at 60 FPS and Donkey Kong Bananza has 1080p at 60 frames per second. Of course, developers can always fine-tune their ports between now and the game’s launch.
