Call of Duty Mobile made more money in a month than Warzone Mobile did in a year

This past May 18, Activision withdrew Warzone Mobile from the iOS and Android stores. The game remains playable for those who have already downloaded it, but there won’t be any updates or new content added to the game.

The reason given is that the title "did not meet the expectations of mobile gamers", unlike the PC and console versions. However, Warzone Mobile recorded 45 million pre-registrations before its launch in March 2024.

According to The Game Business, Warzone Mobile has generated $17 million since its release (excluding Apple and Google commissions), while Call of Duty Mobile earned more than that in April alone. The latter, with over a billion downloads since November 2024, remains the most profitable CoD game, with over $3 billion in cumulative revenues by mid-2023.
