We Outside! For the 3rd Annual Inglewood Music Festival (PHOTOS)


*(Inglewood, CA) The City of Inglewood presented the 3rd Annual Inglewood Music Festival. The Independence Day Celebration of live music, food and fun was held on Saturday, July 5, 2025, from 11:00 am-6:00 pm.
Located in the heart of the city, Inglewood Music Festival took place in the beautiful Darby Park, 3400 W. Arbor Vitae Street, Inglewood, CA. 90305.
Thousands came together to celebrate the music, diversity, and unity that make Inglewood truly exceptional. Guests gathered with family and friends to enjoy a day filled with entertainment and Inglewood Pride.

Najah Roberts celebrated her birthday during the Inglewood Music Festival. In New Orleans, it’s a tradition for people to pin dollar bills to their clothing on their birthdays as a way to celebrate and receive well wishes and small gifts from others. This is a lighthearted way to mark a birthday and potentially receive extra cash throughout the day.

Party with a Purpose– In addition to celebrating the vibrant spirit of the city this year’s event serves as special purpose—supporting the Inglewood High School Marching Band as they represented Inglewood as they performed at America’s National Independence Day Parade in Washington, D.C. This had to have been a remarkable experience. Students will cherish this moment for the rest of their lives. Imagine the conversations that are taking place with their respective families and other loved ones.
Councilwoman Dionne Faulk, District 4, James Morris, Ed.D, County Administrator, gave opening remarks. Adai Lamar served as emcee. QwessCoast was on deck to of the ones and twos, making sure that the party stayed fluid.



Nothing says, ‘let’s get this party started’ than the soulful sounds of Eevaan Tre’ & The Show. The Crowd was vibing as they performed some classic soul and R&B selections “All I Do Is Think of You,” “I Love It When We’re Grooving Together,” “I Like It,” “Never Too Much,” and “Outstanding.” The band consists of Eevaan Tre’-vocals, Elyzer-keyboards, Juan Rios-bass, David Morales-guitar and Nate Thomas on drums.

Wylde Bunch was next to take the stage. Wylde Bunch is an Inglewood based band that took the festivities up a notch. They performed a set of Hip-Hop and R&B to entertain and engage with the diverse crowd. Their rockin’ set list was “If You Really Want to Play With Me,” Hot Stepper,” I Get Around,” a remixed version of “Between the Sheets,” by the Isley Brothers. They continued with “I Like the Way, You Work It,” and concluded their set with “Everyday People” a tribute to the late great Sly Stone.

People are accustomed to Poncho Sanchez Latin Jazz Band firing it up on all cylinders. Poncho Sanchez Latin Jazz Band performed an infectious set of Latin jazz and salsa to the delight of the salsa dancers on site. The entertaining set included the selections “Sambia,” followed by Willie Bobo Medley- “I Don’t Know,” “Fried Neck Bones and Some Home Fries,” and “Guajira.” They continued with “Jumping with Symphony Cid,” “Watermelon Man,” and “Baile La Salsa.”


The Delfonics Experience featuring Norman Carter took the crowd down memory lane with some classic, timeless tracks and slow jams. The crowd were thrilled to sang along to “Break Your Promise,” “For the Love I Give to You,” “Ready or Not,” “Didn’t I Blow Your Mind This Time,” “Hey Love,” and “La-La Means I Love You.” There are a couple of upcoming shows if you are a fan of old school slow jams.

The Delfonics Experience is on the lineup for a show on Saturday, July 12, in Long Beach. Unfortunately, the show is SOLDOUT! Organizers have set up a STANDBY WAITLIST. Tia P, dynamic Inglewood based singer, songwriter thrilled the crowd with several original tracks. We interrupt the regularly scheduled program to ask if there’s a doctor in the house. Dr. Yolanda “Yo-Yo” Whitaker showed up and showed out to the delight of all in attendance.


Comedian Jay Lamont was a welcome addition to the lineup. The Crowd was thoroughly entertained by Jay Lamont’s hilarious and fun segment.

Tierra is another powerful old school band from back in the day. Tierra took the crowd on a musical journey down memory lane.
Tierra had the crowd grooving on ‘Ya Llego,” “Street Scene,” “Gonna Find Her,” “Darling Forever,” “Celebrate with Tierra,” “What Does it Take,” and “Together.”

Legendary R&B, soul and funk band, Dazz Band closed out the 3rd Annual Inglewood Music Festival. The grown folks took the party with them as they strolled to their respective vehicles.
