Tom Cruise Applauds Ryan Coogler’s ‘Sinners’ as Box Office Soars


*Tom Cruise recently showed support for the box office success of Ryan Coogler’s supernatural thriller “Sinners.”
Known for revitalizing the theatrical experience amid the COVID pandemic with “Top Gun: Maverick,” which grossed $1.5 billion globally, Cruise took to Instagram on April 27 to praise Sinners and its creators. “Congratulations Ryan, Michael, and to the entire cast and crew. Must see in a cinema and stay through the end credits!” Cruise wrote to his 13.3 million followers on Instagram. The film, starring Michael B. Jordan in dual roles as twin brothers in the 1930s Mississippi Delta, has made a strong showing at the box office, pulling in $160 million globally on a $90 million budget.
As Men’s Journal reports, Jordan responded warmly to Cruise’s endorsement, commenting, “Thanks for the love and support!!!” on the actor’s post.
He also shared a heartfelt message with fans, writing on Instagram: “Words can’t express the gratitude that I feel for everyone and the outpour of love for our film!! … This is why we make movies and love watching movies on the big screen. It brings people together!! ”
Meanwhile, Cruise is preparing for the release of “Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning,” the climactic conclusion to his long-running IMF saga.
