Charlamagne Tha God Blasts Trump’s Attacks and Controversial ‘Low IQ’ Criticism | Video
*Charlamagne Tha God took to “The Breakfast Club” on Monday to sharply rebuke Donald Trump, accusing him of using an “authoritarian strategy” to silence critics. The radio host’s remarks came after Trump called him a “dope” and “racist sleazebag” on Truth Social.
As Politico reports, the clash began when Charlamagne appeared on Fox News’ “My View with Lara Trump,” where he stated, “the least of us are still being impacted the worst” under Trump’s administration. He also pointed to the Jeffrey Epstein controversy as a divisive issue for GOP supporters.
In a fiery Truth Social post on Sunday, Trump called Charlamagne “Low IQ”.
“Why is he allowed to use the word “GOD” when describing himself? Can anyone imagine the uproar there would be if I used that nickname?” wrote Trump. He added, “He’s a Low IQ individual, has no idea what words are coming out of his mouth, and knows nothing about me or what I have done.”
Charlamagne clapped back, “He called me a racist. I didn’t mention race, not one time on Lara Trump.”
He criticized Trump’s executive order targeting the Smithsonian to remove exhibits on systemic racism, adding, “I was just talking to your base” about broken campaign promises.
Charlamagne also slammed Trump’s economic record, particularly the firing of Bureau of Labor Statistics Commissioner Erika McEntarfer after a weak jobs report. “It’s actually hilarious to see you upset about the high unemployment rates when you let Elon Musk take a chainsaw to the federal government and fire a bunch of government workers earlier this year,” he said.
Despite the tension, Charlamagne expressed a desire for Trump’s success, stating, “I want you to end wars, okay? I want you to keep the border secure. I want you to have the economy booming.” He urged focus, adding, “I am an American. I don’t care who’s in the White House. I want America to succeed. But I need you focused, and right now you’re not focused.”
