*In The Black Network (ITBN), a hybrid TVOD and AVOD streaming platform founded by veteran TV producer and filmmaker James DuBose, has announced Chanel Nicole Scott as its new Chief Marketing Officer. The move marks a strategic step forward as ITBN continues to grow its presence in the streaming world, spotlighting Black stories and voices from communities of color.

Scott, a seasoned marketing leader and entrepreneur, brings over a decade of experience in brand strategy, digital growth, and audience engagement, the news release states. With an MBA and a track record that includes founding a profitable tech startup in its first year, Scott is known for bridging innovation with cultural insight. Her appointment reflects ITBN’s mission to blend culture, ownership, and storytelling in an evolving media landscape.

“Chanel’s appointment marks the next chapter for ITBN as we redefine what’s possible in the streaming landscape,” said DuBose. “Her exceptional ability to drive growth and engagement through cultural fluency will be key as we open new avenues of authentic storytelling and broaden our international reach.”

Scott’s connection to ITBN runs deep. Through her Chanel Scott Production House, she developed “CheMinistry,” a hit relationship show that aired on Fox Soul, and later spun off “Relationships Matter,” which premiered on ITBN. Her work also includes creating content that addresses themes such as relationship trauma, healing, and postpartum depression.

“Being part of a groundbreaking company like In The Black Network is more than just a professional opportunity—it’s a cultural mission,” Scott said. “We’re shifting who controls the narrative and how our stories are told. It’s time to put the power back into our hands—and I’m honored to help lead that movement.”

As CMO, Scott will spearhead marketing initiatives to expand ITBN’s global footprint and reinforce its role as a hub for Black culture and storytelling.

ITBN is available on all major streaming platforms and devices, offering original content across genres, including sports, music, scripted series, faith, and talk shows.
