Capcom plans to lodge a complaint about the harassment surrounding Monster Hunter Wilds

Despite being acclaimed by the press and gamers alike at its launch, Monster Hunter Wilds is now being heavily criticized by the community due to the big performance issues observed since the release of the second major update.

In a recent press release, Capcom reported cases "of slander, defamation, denigration, intimidation, threats to harm or disrupt our business, and harassment of our executives and employees". Moreover, in the most serious cases, the Japanese company says it is ready to "contact the police or lawyers and take legal action, including criminal proceedings".

Capcom was originally scheduled to take part in CEDEC, Japan’s largest game developers’ conference to discuss its advances in performance and optimization. In the end, the company cancelled its participation, which may be linked to problems encountered with Monster Hunter Wilds.
