MindsEye's lead actor doesn't like games released unfinished

We’re not going to go all over the MindsEye thing again, as it has already been roundly criticized by gamers and industry professionals alike. But this time, it’s a person involved in the title’s creative process who has stepped up to the plate.
In a recent interview, actor Alex Hernandez, who gives voice to the game’s hero Jacob Diaz, spoke out about the chaotic launch of MindsEye. He also made a statement about games that are released in a catastrophic state.
"For whatever reason, a company decides to release a product that has these problems, and then deals with it after launch. Obviously, we weren’t the first game to do this; a well-known example is Cyberpunk. As a gamer, as a consumer, I don’t like this model. I don’t like it for the future. From the consumer’s point of view, and I’m sure a lot of people feel the same way, I don’t think it’s the right thing to do."
"I think it’s more damaging in the long run than good for your reputation to put a product on the market that’s less than 100% serviceable and charge full price for it."
"I don’t know why companies do beta testing without calling it that. As a consumer, I’d rather know about it up front, because then I know what I’m signing up for."
